2022 TVS iQube launched with 140 km range and new features, prices start from Rs. 98,564

The TVS iQube 2022 is coming in three variants – iQube, iQube S and iQube ST with longer range

TVS Motor Company has introduced the updated iQube electric scooter for the 2022 model year. The model comes with comprehensive upgrades that include better range, more features, and improved performance. The TVS iQube 2022 comes in three variants – iQube, iQube S and iQube ST. Prices for the new iQube range start at ₹98,564 for the standard version, going up to ₹1.09 lakh for the iQube S. Pricing for the iQube ST has yet to be revealed. Reservations are open for the iQube and iQube S in the 33 existing cities where the scooter is currently on sale. TVS says it plans to add 52 more cities soon and pre-bookings are open in all 85 cities for the iQube ST for ₹999.

The TVS iQube 2022 retains the same styling but gets new gloss and matte color options

The updated iQube TVS range features 10 new color options including Brilliant Red, Titanium Gray, Mercury Gray, Copper Bronze, Lucid Yellow, Starry Blue, Coral Sand, Mint Blue and Copper Bronze matt and matt titanium grey. The design language remains the same, while the company has optimized the riding posture for increased comfort. Under-seat storage capacity has also improved and measures 17 liters on the iQube and iQube S, while the iQube ST has 31 liters of space. It also rolls on wider 90/90 12-inch tires.

The 2022 TVS iQube line continues to use an energy-efficient, low-noise hub motor. It comes with regenerative technology that recovers up to 10% energy and maximizes range. Throttle response has also been smoothed out.


Range has improved significantly to 100km on the standard variants and 140km on the iQube ST variant

The updated iQube gets next-generation 21700 lithium-ion cells with an indigenous Battery Management System (BMS) and thermal management system. The company claims a range of 100km on a single charge on the standard and S variants, while the iQube ST offers a range of 140km on a single charge. TVS says there is no loss of acceleration regardless of battery state of charge. The top speed on the iQube and iQube S would be 78 km/h, which goes up to 82 km/h on the iQube ST.

The new TVS iQube is available with three charging options. This includes a capacity of 650 watts, 950 watts and 1.5 kW. The model comes with a shockproof mains plug, surge protector and automatic shut-off. The BMS monitors overvoltages, currents and high temperatures. The battery is IP67 rated and receives an aluminum casing and is AIS 156 certified. The updated iQube has been designed to go into sleep mode every two minutes when not working. This provides an additional level of security. The model also benefits from a unique modular harness architecture to isolate low and high voltage systems to reduce the risk of short circuits.


The 2022 TVS iQube gets a revamped digital instrument cluster with customizable themes as well as an updated combination of connected technology

The electric scooter offers different connected technologies. The model comes with options of a 5 inch TFT display, a 7 inch TFT display with HMI interaction and a 7 inch TFT dashboard with HMI and touch interaction. The SmartXonnect also offers different connected combinations. This includes a revamped UI and UX that offers a simpler look. The new infinite theme allows customization options on the digital cluster. You can also change the color. The app also gives you details about the scooter’s range and essential functions. The cluster also displays detailed navigation, as well as calls, missed call alerts, messages, and social media notifications. You can also pause the music, skip or control the volume. The new iQube is also compatible with Alexa.
