Great Outdoors Adventures Launches Jeep Rentals | Mail from Pikes Peak

The first in Teller County to offer off-road adventures in a Polaris side-by-side, Great Outdoors Adventures is once again at the forefront with Jeep rentals.

Before implementing the new service, Drew and Angelica Stoll did their research on the leisure habits of Teller County residents, they said.

“I knew Colorado had a history with Jeeps, with Willy Jeeps in World War II for soldiers,” Drew said. “When the first soldiers returned from World War II, they were drawn to jeeps and motorcycles.”

Of Colorado’s many trails, Jeep exploration first took hold in the Ouray/Silverton area, Drew said. “We know Jeeping is really popular, but no one has tried to introduce them to this in a meaningful way.”

While the Stolls offer guided jeep tours, the rental option is another facet of the Woodland Park-based business.

“You can do Jeep tours, but we want people to be able to experience Jeep driving,” Drew said. “You can ride Pikes Peak as a passenger on a tour, which is a good experience, but you won’t get the excitement and challenge of driving the Jeep yourself.”

The new adventure formula responds to a request. “People kept calling us asking for Jeep rentals,” Angelica said.

For rental customers, the Stolls provide maps of various routes on paved and unpaved roads, avoiding busy UTV and ATV trails.

“We show where to go to be safe and can tell you where to find the best restaurants,” Drew said.

Jeeps are available on an hourly basis, with rental options for two, four and six hours, daily or more.

“We will help you find the best experience; it’s a big part of our service, not just renting the vehicle,” Drew said. “That’s the big thing with us. We are not just a car rental company.

In addition to rentals, Great Outdoors Adventures offers two-hour sunset wildlife tours, either with Drew as your guide or following him in a rental Jeep. “Through these tours, we can actually get people to where the moose are,” he said.

After five years in business, the couple’s daughter, Christina Stoll, joined the company as head of creativity.
