Huawei AITO M7 SUV Design Appears, Launched Soon

On April 17, Huawei officially released the first update of the AITO M5 SUV car equipped with the HarmonyOS smart cockpit via OTA support. According to the information, this update is rolling with version V1.0.102SP05.

In summary, the AITO M5 mid-size SUV is jointly developed by Huawei and SERES, which is a hybrid car and runs on both electricity and gasoline. It is equipped with the intelligent cockpit, the HarmonyOS vehicle system and the DriveOne trielectric system provided by Huawei.

What’s new:

Huawei AITO M5 first update brings optimization of main driver seat welcome, light prompts, smart voice, smart screen UI and signal prompts for better experience user.

For your information, this update may take around 2 hours to complete the update process. You can check the update steps and precautions below.

How to update:

While in the car:

First, you need to sign in to your account by navigating to Settings, System, and then System Update. You can also view the current version and system update status in this interface.

Also enter the system update section and click on “Settings” in the upper right corner and make sure that the “Automatic download” switch is activated. Moreover, you can check the download progress in the notification center.

After the downloading process is completed, you can click the upgrade icon on the screen and configure the update plan and select “Update Reservation” or “Update Now” according to your needs.

When you are outside the car:

On the other hand, you can also install the update remotely via smartphone. But make sure the new version of the vehicle has been downloaded.

Just open the AITO app, go to the My tab and track My Vehicle. From there, tap on your vehicle’s option, click on the vehicle’s software version, and select update now or schedule update.

After updating, you can view the specific operation instructions for each function in “Services and Applications > Application Center > Owner’s Guide” on the car’s central control screen.

To note: The “System Update” function must be used under the owner’s account or an authorized account.

  • When upgrading, please park the vehicle on a smooth section of road (no uphill/downhill), close all entertainment audio and video apps in the vehicle, and make sure the vehicle’s network signal is good and battery power is over 30%.
  • During the upgrade process, the vehicle may turn off the screen, turn on the running lights, and briefly display the dashboard fault warning light, which are all normal phenomena. Please do not intervene or drive the vehicle; you can lock the car and drive off normally, and the vehicle will automatically shut down after the upgrade is complete.
  • After the upgrade is completed, if the dashboard indicates that the cruising range or tire pressure is abnormal, it will not affect the normal driving of the vehicle, and it can be restored after driving for a while (which means the vehicle needs to be driven at a speed greater than 25 kilometers per hour for more than 3 minutes).
  • If you encounter any other issues during the upgrade process, please call the User Support Hotline at 400-008-9999 for consultation.
