South Korean automaker Hyundai on September 6 launched a new ‘Venue N Line’ compact SUV starting at Rs 12.16 lakh (Ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Similar to the Hyundai i20 N Line, the new Venue N Line comes with cosmetic upgrades as well as sporty steering, tweaked suspension, tuned exhaust sound and four-wheel disc brakes for a smoother driving experience. sporty and unfiltered fun.
Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, while commenting on the launch said, “Hyundai Venue N Line has been introduced in India as part of our vision to redefine mobility experiences for customers and with this new launch , we will now be offering 2 N Line models over a short period of 2 years, with the Hyundai Venue N Line being our 1st N Line compact SUV model for Indian customers.
The company has already started accepting reservations for the vehicle. One can pre-book the new car by paying a symbolic advance amount of Rs 21,000 either online or through the company’s outlets. In terms of competition, the new Venue N Line is positioned as a more driver-focused alternative in the compact SUV space, while the regular Venue goes up against the likes of Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and the Mahindra XUV300.
Exterior and interior design
Hyundai Venue N Line borrows design cues from the company’s motorsport DNA, the company claims. The compact SUV features a sporty dark chrome grille with the N Line logo, an exclusive N Line bumper with skid plates and roof bars with red inserts. The side profile of this SUV is characterized by Diamond Cut alloys with N Branding.
On top of that, the new compact SUV also comes with red front brake calipers, a tailgate spoiler and a Twin Tip muffler. Interestingly, Hyundai Venue N Line also features the N Line emblem on the tailgate, a feature unique to the Indian model only.
The cabin of the new Venue N Line includes elements such as a sporty black interior with full leather seats with athletic red inserts, a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, a leather shift knob, a red ambience, sporty metal pedals and dark metal interior door handles.
The new Venue N Line draws its juice from a 1.0 Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine that develops 120hp and 172Nm of power. The compact SUV comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The company also says the powertrain has been configured for smooth and seamless power delivery and paired with three different drive modes – Normal, Eco and Sport.
Security and features
The new Hyundai Venue N Line comes with never-before-seen features such as Dashcam with dual camera, wireless smartphone connectivity, photo/time-lapse/video options with up to 64GB of storage and emergency recording option.
In addition, the Hyundai Venue N Line also offers features such as a 20.32 cm (8″) HD infotainment system with Bluelink technology, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, smart electric sunroof, start button /shutdown, fully automatic climate control with digital display, puddle lights, rear air vents, wireless phone charger, glove box cooling, cruise control and USB Type-C chargers in the front and back.
In terms of safety features, the Hyundai Venue N Line includes 4-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management ( VSM), two airbags, rear parking camera, ISOFIX support, headlight escort function, tire pressure monitoring system and ABS with EBD.
