Kia India recorded cumulative sales of 2,274,444 units in 2021, including domestic sales of 1,81,583 units. The company registered despite the headwinds linked to supply throughout the year. With more than 29% annual sales growth in the domestic market, the company ranked among the top 5 automakers in the country with a 6% market share in the domestic market in the calendar year.
The company sold 7,797 units in December. The company sold 4,012 units, while Sonet and Carnival accounted for 3,578 and 207 units, respectively. The company is preparing to launch its fourth new model, the Kia Carens.
In 2021, Kia also shipped 46,261 units, recording 23% annual growth in exports. Since its inception in 2019, Kia has exported 96,242 units. The company has recorded cumulative sales of 4.5 lakh units in less than 2.5 years.

The Kia Seltos and Sonet have also recorded sales of 2 lakh and 1 lakh respectively since their market introduction in 2020. The company believes the number of sales will increase further with the introduction of the new Carens MPV. The new minivan will launch before the end of March 2022, while reservations will begin from January 14.
