Kia, the South Korean auto major, has announced the new EV6 all-electric crossover for India in limited numbers for which bookings will begin next month.
The EV6 left with the victory of the “Automobiles/Vehicles” design. It is the first Kia to use the advanced global electric modular platform architecture.
Winner in the “Boutiques/Showrooms” category, the “EV6 Unplugged Ground” brand space in Seongsu, Seoul was created to showcase the award-winning EV6 in fun and imaginative ways through immersive experience zones. The next-generation showroom also shares Kia’s message of new ways of living – encompassing recycling, sustainability and forward-looking mobility solutions.
The EV6’s advanced infotainment system won a 2022 iF Design Award for “Product Interface”. The system’s green and purple color scheme, which conveys a “modern image”, was also highlighted by the judges.
Kia’s Geonic interior trim material, created in collaboration with Kolon, received an iF Design Award for “Car Interior Design Material”. This three-dimensional hybrid material laminates multiple layers of PU, allowing for unlimited patterns and a diverse range of colors.
Since its premiere in 2021, the vehicle has received critical acclaim from media around the world, winning the What Car? ‘Car of the Year 2022’ and ‘European Car of the Year’ awards.
