Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder’s first driving review goes live tomorrow

– Available in lightweight and powerful hybrid powertrains

– Pre-bookings open for Rs 25,000

Earlier last month, Toyota India unveiled its new hybrid SUV, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Reservations for the SUV are ongoing and are available in four variants and 11 exterior colors.

We have now driven the strong new hybrid version of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. This iteration is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that works in tandem with an electric motor and battery to deliver a combined 114hp and 141Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the front wheels and the automaker claims fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl. Is the Hyryder competent enough to take on Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos? How efficient is the powerful hybrid powertrain?

We answer all of these questions and more in our review. Stay tuned to CarWale for our first driving review which should go live tomorrow at 12pm, both on our website and on the YouTube channel.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder highlights include a digital instrument cluster, nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting and a wireless charger. There are four variants to choose from: E, S, G and V.
