Two reserved under the Copyright Act | Bhopal News

BHOPAL: Hanumanganj police on Friday registered a case under IPC and the copyright law against two auto parts dealers for allegedly selling duplicate products under a company’s brand. Police seized large quantities of duplicate goods from both stores.
Fifty-nine years old Sanjay Bhadouria had complained that two auto parts stores on Chhola Road in Hanumanganj were selling duplicate products including air filters, oil filters, diesel filters and others on behalf of their client company. And it not only caused financial loss to their client company, but also amounted to fraud with clients, police said.
Bhadouria is posted as an operations manager at a Delhi-based consultancy firm, which monitors markets for an aftermarket manufacturing company so that duplicate products are not sold on the company’s behalf. The Consulting Company is empowered to take appropriate legal action against those who manufacture or sell duplicate products.
Acting on Bhadouria’s complaint, police raided the two stores with experts and seized loose duplicate products. A case has been filed against Shashibhushan Gupta and Rajkumar Siroliya.
